What are the ODSP payment dates for 2026?

The Ontario Disability Support Program (ODSP) pays income support once a month. Ontario's rule is short: payments are on the last business day of each month, and December payments may be available earlier in the month. The table shows the 2026 ODSP payment dates as Ontario publishes them, with each benefit month next to its payment date.

September is the one month in the list where the payment comes before the last weekday: Ontario paid on Tuesday, September 29, not Wednesday, September 30. As with every row, the published date is the one to plan around.

When is the next ODSP payment?

The next ODSP payment is Friday, October 30, 2026, for the October benefit month. The one after that is Monday, November 30. Ontario has not yet confirmed the December 2026 date. In December 2025 the payment went out on Monday, December 22, well before the end of the month, which matches Ontario's note that December payments may come earlier.

Many ODSP recipients also receive federal disability payments, and those keep their own schedule. The Canada Disability Benefit is paid on November 19 and December 17, and CPP disability benefits arrive with other CPP payments on October 28, November 26 and December 22. How are Ontario Works payment dates different?

Ontario Works is paid one month ahead. To help people have their income support at the beginning of each month, Ontario pays it on the last business day of the previous month. The November 2026 Ontario Works payment, for example, is scheduled for Friday, October 30.

Put the two tables side by side and the calendar days line up from January to November 2026, even though the benefit months do not. December is where they can split: in December 2025, ODSP was paid on December 22 while Ontario Works for January 2026 was paid on December 31. If you move from Ontario Works to ODSP, ask your caseworker which date your first ODSP payment will come on, because the two programs line up benefit months and payment dates differently.

How much is ODSP in 2026?

ODSP income support went up by 1.9% on July 1, 2026. A single person can now receive up to $1,436 a month for basic needs and shelter combined, and the amount can be adjusted for your situation. Ontario adjusts ODSP income support each July based on inflation, so the next scheduled change is July 2027.

• Basic needs: one of the two main parts of the payment for renters and homeowners.
• Shelter allowance: the second main part, paid to renters and homeowners for their housing.
• Board and lodging: people who pay for a room and meals receive a separate amount instead.
• Remote Communities Allowance: may be added for residents of Northern Ontario communities without year-round road access.

Does the Canada Disability Benefit reduce ODSP?

No. Ontario says the Canada Disability Benefit will not affect your eligibility for ODSP or the amount of your payment, and the ODSP income directive lists a Canada Disability Benefit payment as exempt income. A CDB deposit therefore arrives on top of ODSP rather than replacing part of it.

Other income can be treated differently. The same directive says income is normally deducted from ODSP unless a regulation exempts it, and that applicants who choose to apply for and receive an early retirement pension will have it deducted from their income support. What should you do if your ODSP payment does not arrive?

First check the date in the table: ODSP is paid at the end of the benefit month, not at the start, so make sure you are reading the right row before assuming a payment is late. If the published date has passed, work through these steps.

1. Sign in to MyBenefits, Ontario's online service for Ontario Works and ODSP, to check your case and report any change.
2. Confirm your bank account details are current; the online application asks for them so you can get your payment quickly.
3. Contact your caseworker or your local ODSP office, which you can find with Ontario's social assistance office locator.
4. Call the Social Assistance Support Line at 1-888-999-1142 (TTY 1-800-387-5559), open Monday to Friday.
