What benefits are paid in November?

When is CPP paid in November?

CPP is paid on Thursday, November 26, 2026. OAS, GIS and the Allowance programs are paid the same day through Service Canada, which sets these dates separately from the CRA; see Service Canada payment dates for the full list of what it pays.

November is the second OAS payment at the October to December 2026 rate, so it should match your October 28 deposit. CPP stays at the 2026 amount, a maximum of $1,507.65 a month at 65, until January.

CCB and CDB

The Canada Child Benefit arrives on Friday, November 20, its normal date. The Canada Disability Benefit is paid Thursday, November 19. Both amounts were set for the July 2026 to June 2027 year, so a November change usually means a reassessment or a reported change in your situation.

Is there a GST or CGEB payment in November?

No. The Canada Groceries and Essentials Benefit, which replaced the GST/HST credit, was paid on October 5 and is next paid on January 5, 2027, the date set in the CRA's guide to the benefit. There is also no Advanced Canada Workers Benefit this month.

What is different about November: the ACFB quarter and the PEI name change

Alberta Child and Family Benefit on November 27

The ACFB is paid four times a year, in August, November, February and May. November 27 is the second payment of the July 2026 to June 2027 year. It has two parts: a base component for lower-income families and a working component for families with working income over $2,760.

Worked example: an Alberta family with two children and income low enough for the full amounts would qualify for a base component of $2,293 a year ($1,529 plus $764) and a working component of $1,494 a year ($782 plus $712). That totals $3,787 a year. If the year is split evenly over the four payments, the November 27 deposit would be about $946.75.

The base component shrinks once family net income passes $28,116, and the working component shrinks over $47,115. Full rules are on the Alberta Child and Family Benefit page.

PEI sales tax credit becomes the PEI Essentials Benefit

Starting in November 2026, Prince Edward Island renames its sales tax credit the Prince Edward Island Essentials Benefit, with a minimum payment of $175 for everyone who qualifies. The CRA describes the credit as combined with the quarterly CGEB and lists no separate November payment date, so no PEI deposit is scheduled this month. The PEI sales tax credit page tracks the change.

Provincial payments in November

  • Ontario: OTB on Tuesday, November 10; the Ontario Child Benefit, up to $146.66 a month per child, inside the November 20 CCB.
  • Alberta: ACFB on Friday, November 27.
  • British Columbia: the BC Family Benefit is part of the November 20 CCB deposit.
  • Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador, PEI: provincial child benefits are paid with the November 20 CCB.
  • Newfoundland and Labrador: NL Disability Benefit, up to $400 a month, on November 25.

November 2027 dates

November 2027 dates are not yet announced. Applying the published rules only, we project the OTB on Wednesday, November 10, 2027, and the CCB on Friday, November 19, 2027, because November 20, 2027 is a Saturday. Treat these as projections until canada.ca posts the 2027 calendar, usually late in the year.

November is also when the next CPP adjustment takes shape: the January 2027 increase uses inflation from November 2025 to October 2026, and it is usually announced in late autumn or December. The CPP increase page will add the rate once it is published.

If a November payment does not arrive

The CCB and ACFB have the shortest waiting period of any CRA benefit, 5 working days. Because the ACFB comes at the very end of the month, its waiting period runs into December.

  1. Look up the payment in CRA My Account; for CPP and OAS, use My Service Canada Account.
  2. For the November 20 CCB, wait until after Friday, November 27, the fifth working day.
  3. For the November 27 ACFB, the fifth working day is Friday, December 4.
  4. For the November 10 OTB and the NL Disability Benefit, wait 10 working days.
  5. For CPP and OAS, canada.ca asks you to wait 5 to 10 business days.
  6. Check that your banking information and address are up to date, then contact the paying program.

More help is in the benefit payment not received guide. December payments come earlier than usual because of the holidays; see the December payment dates.
